Biography

Dr. Ricardo "Rick" Caldas is an internal medicine physician committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care for adults and seniors throughout Natrona and Converse counties. He believes the best healthcare begins with listening, building trust, and working alongside patients to help them achieve their health goals. As a former paramedic and firefighter from Florida, he brings over a decade of service and frontline experience to his role as a physician.

Dr. Caldas earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University, a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville.

He enjoys caring for patients from all walks of life, with special interests in preventive care, heart failure and chronic lung disease management, and using point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to provide timely, hands-on care when appropriate.

When he's away from the clinic, Dr. Caldas enjoys hunting, hiking, traveling with his wife and two sons, and spending time in the mountains. He's grateful to call Wyoming home and looks forward to serving the hardworking individuals and families who make this state such a special place.
